Las Vegas Events Announces Two New Hires and Newly Created Position
LAS VEGAS - February 7, 2012 - Las Vegas Events, Inc. (LVE) announced today two new hires and a newly created position. Bo Gardner, an experienced sales executive who spent 16 years with Nevada Beverage Company, has been named the new vice president of corporate marketing. Chase Boberg will join the organization as event development coordinator.
Effective immediately, Gardner will be responsible for all sales, coordination and management of local and national event sponsorships, communication and consultation on developing sponsorships for the outlying areas of Laughlin and Mesquite and creating partnerships with the Las Vegas hotel properties throughout the year. Boberg will assist in these efforts.
Dale Eeles, formerly the vice president of corporate marketing at LVE, will transition to the newly created position of vice president of event development, effective February 7. Eeles, who has been with LVE since 2005, will now oversee all aspects of event research, screening and development.
"As LVE searches for new ways to bring events to Las Vegas and the outlying areas, it is incumbent upon our organization to continue to evolve and develop," said Pat Christenson, president of LVE. "As we move forward, our staff will continue to focus on securing new events for the destination and ensuring their success. Bo, Chase and Dale will play a vital role in achieving our goals now and in the future."
LVE serves as the exclusive special events agency for the city and utilizes its Signature Event initiative as a means to more efficiently connect event producers, hotel properties and sponsors. Currently, LVE supports, promotes and organizes a number of Las Vegas' most successful events, including the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, Electric Daisy Carnival, USA Basketball Showcase, Mountain West Conference Basketball Championships, Rock 'N' Roll Las Vegas Marathon, NBA Summer League and Las Vegas' New Year's Eve celebration - America's Party.
